$200 TRAFFIC TICKET

Damn, shit, damn.

Got a traffic ticket this morning for sliiiiiiiiiiding through a red light. $200 bucks and 4 POINTS! It's not like Anchorage doesn't have icy streets or anything.

Then to top it all off, the cop wrote the wrong address, mispelled three words, forgot to check two boxes........you would think he would be a little more careful writing me out something that is going to cost $200.

I am so ready for spring!

1. I once heard myself on the afternoon Anchorage traffic report,

slid into the median by the Dimond exit. No ticket, but my car was carrying Florida plates at the time so I got the "you are no longer in Florida" lecture.

Sorry about the ticket! If I remember right the streets do not get plowed until after the snow stops, right?

2. If I were you, I'd challenge the ticket.

Go to traffic court and explain the situation. Be persuasive and nice, the judge might reverse the ticket and the points.

This past summer I got TWO tickets, one for speeding, one for illegal lane use (I don't know either).
Less than a week later , my wife got one for speeding; another onefifty.
Yesterday we got our new, ADJUSTED, insurance bill.
Nearly a four hundred dollar increase !

We live to work, so we can pay the f*ckin' bills !
