It's about -15° out right now, and I live in a drafty, 100-year-old building.
I think I'm going to have to build a fire. Since I don't have a fireplace, I suppose I can kiss my damage deposit goodbye.

7. Thankfully it's supposed to warm up by Monday |
|
Up into the teens or twenties. We've been really spoiled this year-- the avg temp in January was around 40° (normally it's around 20°) with one 50-degree day, and it's been unseasonably warm all winter.
At least I have a couple of cats to keep my feet warm. :D

Came here in 1980 and never went back. Sure the cost of living and housing is sky high and you pay for the nice weather, but ITS WORTH EVERY PENNY! Trust me!

I always liked Denver because you get the snow but avoid the bitter cold. Maybe not tonight, though.

Sounds like you ladies are having a good time! :hi:
The funny thing is, my office was boiling today. I wore a heavy sweater and had to take it off because I was sweating.
Not to mention the wind. -30° windchill in town, worse out in the sticks. Yeeeouuuch. A good day to stay indoors.

I almost took the bus downtown this morning. But 1/2 a block into my normal three-block walk changed that plan. I ate the $5 and parked instead. At least the car started.

Unfortunately, I didn't put the plastic over the windows. It never got below zero in January so I didn't bother. Now I am paying the price, I suppose. Ah well, it's character-building, if nothing else. :D
