So did anyone see the Women's Snowboard Cross final
Yikes! What a finish ...

And have they ever said whether or not the Canadian boarder whom they had to haul off the mountain is okay?

1. That's what I'm wondering!
All the coverage is about Jacobellis. Who cares? She blew it fair and square, tough luck.

I'm worried about the Canadian woman, she looked in bad shape!

3. It looks like she's okay
it took some searching, but I found this article that says she was released with a slight concussion ... http://www.canada.com/topics/news/oddities/story.html?id=7eb206ea-a176-471e-a174-e75f76ee16ea&k=40949

It would have been nice for nbc to tell us that, after showing us images of them dragging her down the mountain on a stretcher ...

4. Oh good, I'm glad.
Thanks for the report.

NBC has some screwed-up priorities, IMO.

5. Thank you for that update. Very glad she is going to be ok.
Yeah...I stayed with NBC to see how she was (not like I have a choice) and they didn't say a word.

2. I did. I can not believe what I saw. Another American snot....trying to
showboat. Lindsey Jacobellis, the VISA commercial darling, was coasting to a gold and just couldn't resist gloating, showboating and overall acting like an ass.
She tried a showy stunt near the finish line and ended up on her ass.
Switzerland's Tanja Frieden coasted past her and to the gold.

Then, Jacobellis LIED about what she had done, claiming that she was trying to stabilize herself off the jump. Hours later, she came clean and admitted she was grandstanding, showboating and counting her gold medals before they were hatched.

I feel not one single ounce of sympathy for this fool.

And no, I haven't heard how the imjured Canadian boarder is doing. A terrible wreck.

6. Wow.. Relax.. It's just a game.
The Olympics are so freaking commercial. She simply wanted to give a good SI cover shot and make some money just like every single other Olympian since the advent of TV. She screwed up and she admitted it, I'm sure she feels bad enough already.

10. I'm perfectly relaxed, but thanks for being concerned.
I just don't get these typical snotty American athletes and their grandstanding.

Maybe they should save the showboating until after they've actually achieved something.

And, she didn't admit it. She actually lied about it at first. How very...familiar these days.

11. I think we take these athletes too seriously...
Most of them are 18-23 years old...who DIDN'T act like a jack-ass when they were that age?

13. I really don't see what the big deal is here...
...I watched it, and it didn't look to me like she was "showboating" all that much. For all we know she could have fallen on her rear end just as easily "playing it straight."
