Retail therapy: the cause of, and solution to, all life's problems...
Edited on Sat Feb-18-06 02:19 AM by XemaSab
So I was decompensating earlier:

I decided to go out and spend some money.

I bought:

A case of MRE's
4 dog toys (A rope, a fish, a quail, and a starfish, all different textures)
A dog brush
2 large ham bones for when the dogs are going crazy
"The Dog Whisperer"
"Spanish in 30 Days"
The latest Nevada Barr in paperback ("Hard Truth")
"Eats, Shoots, and Leaves"
"Atonement" by Ian McEwan
"The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time"
Soyrizo (GOOD STUFF!)
Margarita mix
Small bottle of Jose Cuervo
A small Maidenhair Fern

I got home and ate a burrito while drinking two margaritas and reading "The Dog Whisperer" and now everthing is okay. :D

8. I used to shop as therapy
That resulted in lots of bills, which necessitated working many hours to pay them off, which just made me more unhappy. I've discovered shopping is not nearly as therapeutic as it seems on the surface. :-(

10. I'm not usually a big shopping person
Basically what I bought is food, dog toys, books, and alcohol.

What more do you need? :D

11. Soyrizo is awesome
:9 I like it with peppers, onions and potato, either wrapped up in a tortilla or stuffed back in the baked potato skin.

12. Yummah!
I just use it for quick and easy burritos.

1 can refried beans, half a tube of soyrizo, big chunk of cheese, 1/4 jar of salsa verde, and fat gobs of tapatio.

Heat it all together, then cut up some avocado and lettuce and throw it all in a tortilla.

It takes under 10 minutes and it's GOOD. :9

Mexican noodles:

Cook some noodles. Add cheese, soyrizo, and salsa. Stir. :9

When I lived in Oakhurst, I ate these two recipes like, 5 times a week or so. I had no life and no energy to cook.
