Does your Walmart Have Yellow Tag Specials?
I needed a blanket and found a really good one for $6.50. I think they are just the tag ends of lots that they just want to get rid of.

Our PriceChopper also has a shelf with special $1.00 deals - and some aren't bad at all. I found sardines for 2/100. Usually they run about $2.50 a can. Course these aren't like high end sardines - more like the pieces that were left over. But who cares.

1. I don't know -- I haven't been in one in years
I do go to Big Lots for stuff like that, though.

5. Our Big Lots sucks
They carry cheap products for the most part and it's a trashy store.

6. Ours is hit or miss
When it's "hit," you can get some great deals.

3. I know, I know.
But I needed a blanket.

The other cheap places to buy are miles and miles from my house . We have a BigLots but they are probably 30 miles from me.

So I go to the Enemy of the People.

4. Any Linens and Things near you?
They are having a clearance sale that is great. Also Target has some clearance stuff(got a queen size sheet set for $15.00). I understand the living out in the middle of nowhere. Hell, I used to have to drive for thirty minutes to do anything. If you must shop at Wally-World, try this...

10. Cathy, that's a great idea
I don't shop at Wal Mart, but imagine if everyone who did just stopped buying toothpaste there? Fucking brilliant!

8. I'll buy elsewhere... Just not WalMart.
I think WalMart needs to be broken up.

One store at a time.

With axes.

9. I wouldn't know
I only wind up there when somebody gives LK a gift from there and I have to return or exchange it. I wish people wouldn't give him gifts from there, the clothes never fit well and thier toys are junk. It's a pain in the ass and while he really doesn't need anything I'd rather family give him a few quality items on his b'day and Christmas than huge piles of discount store junk.

14. And now you know that DUers hate WalMart.
But even I, the epitome of DUism, sometimes have to go there for stuff I can't get anywhere else.

15. ditto. I boycott.
Wal-Mart is absolutely evil. Shopping there is the consumer equivalent of voting for Bush.

16. That's what the internet is for. If I can't find what I need
Edited on Sat Feb-18-06 06:55 PM by grace0418
around here I get online and find it. Even if Walmart wasn't evil I just hate even walking in that store. It's so trashed and full of idiots every time I've ever been there (which is really only 3 times in my life). I've even stopped shopping at Target if I can avoid it because they have some of the same shady business practices (I work for a supplier to Target).
