Do you know anyone this freakin' stupid?
Last night I was talking to a neighbor who mentioned that he had some stuff he wanted to auction, and I said he should do it on eBay. He asked me to explain eBay, and I thought, well, that's reasonable. So I told him it was like a giant department store on the internet, and he said, "That's the thing that comes through the phone line, right?"

1. Some people just are tech-savvy at all.
My poor dad thought the monitor was the actual computer part. He is in his mid-60s and never had to earn computers at all. After getting a computer, he's now and Internet(s) Addict!

3. While my Canadian cousins were here visiting last week,
my next door neighbor said to them, " I have cousins in Canada. They live in Minnesota."

I hope she meant Manitoba, but I'm not sure. She isn't the brightest bulb on our street.

5. Uh!
I once was in Germany, in Brandenburg, Kentucky. You know, that's where the orchestra is coming from.

12. Hah!
I feel your pain :)

As the only computer savvy guy in TX, I get weird phone calls. 2 am - "I think I broke it! Help me!" "Did you hit it with a sledgehammer?" " Uh, no." "Then you didn't break it."

"Why doesn't my email work?" "You're pushing the wrong buttons!"

Ack! Anytime anyone has a problem I'm the go to guy. Gets old very quickly.

Khash, poor me.

10. My boss never uses computers and . . . .
When he saw me use the cut and paste feature in Word he was actually amazed. No lie.

14. When I worked in a Big Office, years ago,
I was the only one who understood computers at all (in the country of the blind....). So I'd get calls from people who had no clue. I quickly learned the first question was usually the right and only necessary one.
"Did you turn it on?" Amazing how often I'd hear, "uh, it's working now...."

16. Know them, and have provided them computer support
I'd rather not repeat any of those stories because I don't want to re-traumatize myself.
