That's what I get for stereotyping.
So, I'm out getting signatures for the campaign I'm volunteering for. (see signaure) If you don't know, any candidate, incumbent or challenger, has to get 1,000 signatures on a petition to show on the ballot in a Congressional race in Pennsylvania. So, knowing there's a natural/vegan foods store that offers massage therapy and other things, and in a city as heavily Democratic in Pittsburgh...not to mention the GAY PRIDE STICKER IN THE WINDOW...I figured it would be a safe bet to support a progressive candidate.

So, I walk in and ask for the manager. The girl behind the counter refers me to the owner who is also there. I give him the speil and ask him for his support. His answer...

No, I'd rather not. I've been a life-long registered Republican, and I'm proud of the work Congress is doing.

:wtf:

5. Do you think many of his customers are gay?
Maybe the sticker is a way of drumming up more business. It's all money, you know.

I would have been shocked, too.

6. In this case, it was sterotyping based on the message
the store owner is putting out, particularly with having the gay pride stickers in the windows. I dare say, many people would have come to the same conclusion you did.
