How do I convince my G.P. that my problems are not anxiety? |
|
* ankles buckling under weight (today I nearly buckled trying to hold 7 pounds of frozen chicken breasts...) * Sensitive to colder temps (a longtime problem) * low blood pressure yet high pulse (109/64 seems reeeeal nice, but with a resting pulse of 89 and having doing some cursory research, there COULD be a real problem with blood circulation afoot...) * occasional rhythm change in heartbeat (not often, COULD be within normal range... but then, I have a recurring murmur too which they say is no prob...)
Not really asking for advice. Just want to vent... after all, I had to whine and argue and cry for nearly three friggin' YEARS to get the MRI that proved there was a disc dislodged from my spine, jammed into my spinal cord... x(

5. Your breasts are frozen, which can't be good! |
|
Have you ever heard, "colder than a witch's tit in a brass bra"?
And chicken breasts, on top of that! *thunks HypnoToad's ear*

Been there ... When doctors can't figure it out, they like to blame it on anxiety or depression. That doesn't mean they're right. Keep trying until you find someone who takes you seriously. Have them test your thyroid function if you haven't done that already. Not advice, just a friendly suggestion.
PS It's been my experience that the plan "providers" aren't usually the best choice. I've had to go out of plan to find someone who will work hard enough to get answers.

4. Get another opinion... |
|
My sister was told her heart problem was PMS by a doctor once. She got another doctor and he said if she had waited another week without getting treatment she might have died.
