1. Really frickin' weird.
It's a gorgeous day (it would look like summer if it weren't for the leafless trees and long shadows), but it's below freezing.

8. On Thursday, it was in the 80s. The next day it was half that.
Today it's in the low 30s with a wind chill in the upper 20s. Wild for this area. My sinuses can't take the yo-yoing temps, though. I'll take the cold as long as it's consistent!

Its been bitter cold all weekend, snowing on and off. Hubby and I haven't gotten out much, just hanging around working at home and watching the Olympics.

12. About 40 and clear here in NC but bad overnight
It's a pretty and cold day here now, lots of sunshine.

But we're supposed to get ice and snow overnight to make the morning commute messy. Yuck!

14. Sunny and 25° in metro DC
Perfect day for a visit to the bike shop. The mechanaic would be free of fair weather riders wanting air in the tires and the dust wiped off. I needed new front brake mechanisms. After 12 years with the other, all the little tricks to cease the apocalyptic squealing had come to no avail. He did it chick-chock.

Riding wasn't too bad with the winds down. But I hate having to dress for deep space, though I do it.
