SHANI DAVIS
I saw last night that DAVIS won, good for him, I felt even better because i had read the quote from Hedrick about being a "bush people". On the uncut feed Davis certainly looked gracious for the crowd and the other medalists, but last night NBC didnt show any of that. Oh well. The interviewer on Primetime actually asked him if he was angry! That same interviewer didnt ask hedrick why he loved BUSH so much! Its kind of like being a UCLA fan, i like UCLA and whomever is playing USC. If Hedrick is a bush people, more reason to think he's a loser.

1. not a fan of Davis at all
I was disappointed that he won. I wanted Joey Cheek to beat him. I don't like the way Hedrick or Davis have acted during the whole situation. Davis, to me, and I was once a serious athlete, was way too selfish. I'm not down with that at all.

2. Davis is cool. Good for him, his family. I read the article on how the
Dutch were cheering him even though he beat out their guy. I have never had anything but good feelings about the Dutch, historically and on a personal level.

story about someone breaking the color barrier. I am assuming that the feud was about Davis not particiapating in the group event... was it before his solo event? If so, I can understand the motivation behind not participating.

Yes, I do think the Dutch have good instincts.

8. that's awesome that he broke the color barrier
Yeah, it was before. It wasn't something that would have effected him all that much. The whole situation doesn't sit too well with me all around. Hedrick is being a little selfish too, he wanted Davis to get in the pursuit so he could get 5 gold medals, or at least 5 medals. It's not like Hedrick wasn't looking at his own individual motives too.

11. I actually had to look the name up
outside of literature, film, sports and politics, I don't know a damn thing about the regular world, lol. The only thing I usually watch on tv outside of politics is pro wrestling. :)

4. I'm so glad Davis won.
I can't stand Hedrick, and I didn't even know he was a Bush lover, though it figures. I thought his behavior the past few days was horrible. No one asked HIM to skate an event before his first big shot at gold. I think Hedrick was the one being selfish, particularly since he already had his gold by the time he was making those comments. I do like Joey Cheek, and I'm glad he got silver. I would have been happy had either he or Davis won.
