Dish Network Or DirectTV? Help Me Decide:

We've had Dish Network for about 5 years, and are thniing of switching to Direct TV. I see that Direct TV doesn't have FSTV, and I think I remember hearing somewhere that Direct TV is owned by a repug. Any suggestions here gang?

that's why I have stayed with Dish Network.
I'd lke to get Gore's channel though.

3. What is FSTV?

I have had DirecTV for over a year, and I am never, ever going back. I love the NFL Sunday Ticket, and the variety of programming.

If FSTV is Fox Sports TV, they do in fact have it. They also have the Fox poerts package, which allows you to get all regional Fox Sports channels from across the country. It's great for me being a displaced Minnesotan to be able to watch Gopher hockey.

I HIGHLY recommend DirecTV.

5. I think the poster is referring to Free Speech TV.

I know Amy Goodman lists both as carrying her show but not sure which one id Direct TV.

4. DirectTV has Link TV and Gore's Currents channel

Link TV shows Democracy Now and other programming from around the world.

Plus you get all your local channels.

I have DirectTV because Dish gave me a hassle about not wanting a credit check. I have sucky credit due to a divorce and I've lived on a cash basis as much as possible since. So, DirectTV treated me better.

I don't think Free Speech TV is on every day on anywhere but Dish Network.

Does Direct TV has Sirus radio like Dish Network does?

but not Air America - just the music stations for hte most part

9. DISH wouldn't sell me service

because my credit rating is pretty lame. Not even with a deposit.

I really like DirecTV and they have real tivo instad of a knock-off version.
