I had not heard of that either. Gad, I can't imagine what that must be like for those women! And for that one doctor to laugh and make a joke -- what an ass!

I was just reading last night about another issue I had never heard of: sexual phobia. From what I was reading, the causes are many, from being abused as a child to have been taught in a negative way about sexuality, to things seemingly unrelated.

And it was definitely not a desirable trait.

The only time this woman felt "normal" was when she was engaged in a "normal" sex relationship. She felt "dirty" having orgasms in the doctor's waiting rooms, in bus stops, in social gatherings.

Living the the Puritanical States of America probably didn't help, either.
