3. She was here earlier
suffering greatly from pulled wisdom teeth. She probably flaked out on meds right now.

5. I'm here!
I showed up!

And FWIW, my impacted wisdom teeth are still right where they belong: in the back of my mouth!

12. It's probaby true
Dentists are lame. Time before last when I went, they told me I had a GIANT cavity that needed filling, then the last time I went I went to a different dentist and he said he couldn't see a thing.

18. I couldn't agree more
But I doubt I'll find better.

For some reason, the NHS doesn't seem to extend to dentists or opticians, and anything they do costs an arm and a leg. :(

21. I need to have 2 of mine out
But the dentist says they can't take 2, they have to take all 4. Like, wtf?

Also, my mom had all 4 of hers out and she was barfing for a month.

No fun.

22. That sounds like grade A bs to me!
In 2004 I had just one pulled!

They may not want to do 2, but can't is another matter altogether...

Anyway, you don't want four wisdom teeth pulled out on the same day! That's just brutal. You want to chew on the other side of your mouth while it heals, if you can.

23. Yeah, that's what I thought too...
Edited on Mon Feb-20-06 06:41 PM by XemaSab
And they said I had to have all 4 out because otherwise when I chewed the top teeth would make the holes left by the bottom teeth get infected.

But on edit, even though the bottom teeth are impacted and the teeth on the top are a bit tight, I don't see why I can't live with it.

25. If it's causing you no bother
I don't see why you can't live with it either. Get them pulled when they become a problem, otherwise not, I'd say.

24. That appears to be a load of ________ (fill in the blank) to me
I had all four of mine out at the same time only because I knew I would never go back if they didn't all come out at the same time. Oral surgeon gave me some codeine and said to take it if I began to feel pain. For four days I woke up just long enough to pop another pill, sip a little soup and then crashed again. After day four, I realized what I was doing and started taking aspirin instead. I looked like a chipmunk for two weeks, but I managed to stay awake.
