I finally sold my gas guzzling SUV... WAHOOOO
I finally sold my SUV that gets a whopping 16mpg. I actually made money off this car. How stupid can people be to buy a large SUV that gets terrible milage used. This purchase was one of the biggest mistakes of my life and now I'm doing what I can to make it right.

Now, if I just need to find a car for the money I want to spend. Car shopping is better than car selling. :bounce:

12. I bought it like a moran, gas was a $1.40 at the time
Dumbest purchase I've ever made. Lesson at home for all the kids, don't buy a car drunk.

2. Well according to one SUV commericial airing during the Olympics
owning a small car means your family has to be split up into 3 vehicles when travelling.

No wonder the Japanese whoop our asses when it comes to the automobile industry

4. Seriously
they have a commericial for an oversize SUV where they pass a family split up into 3 small cars justifying that without an SUV families have no way of travelling together because small cars can't hold enough.

But your :wtf: was the reaction I had. My personal view is if I had a family and wanted to vacation, I'd just rent a large SUV with the money saved by using a small car for day-to-day travels.

7. Hopefully it went to somebody who really needed the SUV.
We had a Subaru Forester awhile back that we sold to somebody who lives in ski country. You could say that transaction was a win-win. Mrs. Trogdor now has my Accord (which she promptly wrecked) and I have a Scion xA. The Scion, by the way, is excellent in snow.

I guess he'll get some use out of it. I just don't know how I rationalized it in the first place.

14. I'd like to but they are too expensive for me right now
Edited on Tue Feb-21-06 11:54 AM by MemphisTiger
Also, I was reading an article that I whould have bookmarked that stated the battery pack weight offsets any significant gain in milage that would pay for the extra expense of the hybrid system. I'll look for it later and post it if I find it.

I do like the Toyota Matrix though. If I go for a newer car, I'd go for that.
