Grind it yourself at the supermarket is the same as at home. I'll work on the wording.

10. I had to go with Convenience Store
I have been hooked on Coffee since the age of four, and consider myself somewhat of an connoisseur
but I have found that QT (Quick Trip) has the best damn coffee I've ever had, rivaling even Caribou Coffee.

11. That shit's bad for you.
Not to mention, coffee is nasty and sodas are just sickly sweet. :puke:

Just get plenty of sleep, eat good food, move around a bit (I'm bad about that part, myself) and lay off the stimulants, everybody. /worried mother

16. See, that's what worries me
addiction to even a fairly innocuous substance isn't cool. There are some enviornmental and social issues with coffee production that should discourage it's everyday use. It's like chocolate, you have a little once in a while if you enjoy it but it's not a good idea for you or the planet to go nuts with it.

18. No, it's not bad. Why, it's almost considered health food any more.

"Want a drug that could lower your risk of diabetes, Parkinson's disease, and colon cancer? That could lift your mood and treat headaches? That could lower your risk of cavities?"

I'll admit that I'm a coffee-holic, but I thought this was pretty good news.

22. Coffee doesn't give me the shakes and I love the taste of it.
I don't notice that it affects my energy level or mood to any degree and in fact, it doesn't even keep me awake if I drink it late at night. If it's not available I miss is, but I can live without it. And besides all that, sometimes my mind could do with a little altering.

13. Coffee - varies.
At home I grind my own beans, stove-top percolator; occasionally a cafetiere (which Americans call a French-press - perhaps even freedom-press).

At work ready-ground (I thought that taking a coffee grinder into work was a tad bit too far) thrown into a single cup filter. Work only provides "instant coffee".

15. I make a pot of coffee every morning...
that is decaffeinated (my husband can't have caffeine).

I don't like to brew a whole pot of caffeinated for myself, but sometimes I'll brew enough to have two cups (after the decaf has been made), or I'll grab a cup of brewed coffee at Moxie Java, or I'll get a latte at Starbucks (I can't drink their brewed coffee).

24. I buy organically grown, shade grown coffee beans from a fair-trade
Edited on Tue Feb-21-06 03:23 PM by Gormy Cuss
purveyor, grind them at home and brew them in a French press (eliminates the need for paper or gold filters.)I only buy the naturally caffeinated beans because decaf is an adulteration. I add only locally produced organic milk, no sugar or other sweeteners. I scrape the grounds out of my press and deposit them in the compost pile.

p.s. I live near San Francisco. Any questions? ;)

25. Tea or french press.
It's always one or the other.

Lots of iced and hot tea in this house, as well as organic Bolivian fair trade coffee bought from a local roaster. (It's gooooood stuff.)
