I think corn is a grain. That is a bad chart anyway, because I do not believe spuds are considered vegetables. Lettuce would be a herb rather than a vegetable and tomatoes are fruit. Some high schooler pointed that out to me during Reagan's "ketchup is his favorite vegetable" brouha. I said, why not, it's made from tomatoes? However, the dictionary that I just consulted does not distinguish between fruits and vegetables. It defines a "vegetable" as any edible plant. So Reagan was right - ketchup is a vegetable, and I have to retract what I said about that chart. Rhubarb and dandylion greens are vegetables too I guess and so are apples and peaches and cherries, oh my. But it's not safe to get your vegetables from talking trees :scared:
