What are you listening to?
That time is upon us again.

Here we've got the Turangalila Symphony by Olivier Messiaen - one of the masterpieces of 20th century music, by perhaps the greatest master of the 20th century.

2. I don't try to.
I just don't like most other genres.

I've got a really crappy C.D. called "Wurlitzer Magic" or something like that - should I put that on?

Now I'm just going to hide in a corner and  because billy doesn't like me any more. :P

7. Be careful of the bad-luck
Christmas music when it's not Christmas. tut tut tut

I only really like this piece though because he uses the Ondes Martinot which is a way-cool instrument, a fore-runner of the synthesiser.

Seems a bit simpler than constructing an ondes Martenot, I think. :hi:

Edited to add: Obviously I am taking a little break here. ;)

43. This weekend
Belle And Sebastian - Life Pursuit (different for them (more produced,) but it ranks up there with any B&S album.) A bit similar to the New Pornographers.

Leslie Mills - Different For Girls (2003 release - if I made a best-of list for that year, it would be on. Great power pop and balladry done right.)

Moody Blues - Best Of (got in an oldies mood - excellent classic rock)

53. Gone - Jack Johnson
Well look at all those fancy clothes
but these could keep us warm just like those
and what about your soul? is it cold?
is it straight from the mold and ready to be sold?
and cars and phones and diamond rings
bling bling
those are only removable things
and what about your mind does it shine?
are there things that concern you
more than your time?

gone, going, gone
everything
gone
give a damn
gone, be the birds when they don't wanna sing
gone people
all awkward with their things
gone.

look at you out to make a deal
you try to be appealing,
but you lose your appeal
and what about those shoes you're in today?
they'll do no good
on the bridges you've burnt along the way, oh
you were willing to sell anything
gone with your hurt
leave your footprints
and we'll shame them with our words
gone people
all careless and consumed
gone

gone going gone
everything gone,
give a damn
gone, be the birds when they don't wanna sing
gone people
all awkward with their things
gone.
