I know this isn't the best. I know the rythym is a little funky sometimes. But I like the result.

I was in a very odd mood when I wrote this. I felt bad for my friend, who broke his leg recently, and now cannot go on a rafting trip in the Grand Canyon that he has been planning for years.... And I also was missing a friend who moved very far from me...

Journey

The sky so blue,
The air so clear,
The wind so close,
The sound so dear,
The water, the air,
The sun, the mountain,
The rain, the sweet pear.

The bustle, the hustle,
The sweet streets,
The time that I wasted,
All caught up in beats,
My own, my home,
These sweet streets,
I’m going where the earth and sky meets.

Journey on home, journey on back,
Journey on here, journey on there,
Journey on white, journey on black,
Journey on time, journey on fact,
Journey with nothing, journey with a sack.

On home, to roam,
Alone, on home,
On sand, on grass,
On sea foam,
The stars above,
On velvet glass,
Watch as I journey,
Journey and pass.

Journey there, journey here,
Journey on road, journey with code,
Journey with rubies, journey with dimes,
Journey now, you’ve got the time,
Journey with friends, journey alone,
Journey forever,
Just journey to home.

Sleep under the moon,
Sleep under trees,
Sleep to rest,
Lulled by bees,
Rest with the nightingale,
Rest with the rose,
Rest with the willow,
Rest with the lantern that glows.

Over the hills,
Under the sea,
Journey will you,
Journey have me,
Journey with time,
Journey and rest,
Journey to home,
Journey for your foggy quest.

Stars above,
Grass below,
The wind goes,
Away and blows,
Jade rivers,
Sapphire moon,
Topaz sun,
Makes for a fine room.

Lay me down,
I journey here no more,
I Journey away,
To the paths of yore,
Journey with me,
No longer you shall do,
But forget me not, do not be blue.

Now here to rest,
Journey on sky,
Journey with all,
Journey shall I,
Journey in old,
Journey with new,
Come join me,
I’ll journey with you.
