I actually wrote a paper that I had to edit some out because it was TOO LONG.

But in first year economics we had to keep essays to 1000 words - that was nigh on impossible.

I think that's happened to me only 2 or 3 times. Each time, I felt really smart- especially when I hadn't just been writing crap to fill a length requirement and now I had too much text and had to get rid of some of the filler!
