Called "no escape" it's basically "pushing too hard" except the lyrics are changed. Still, a strange find though.
Makes me think the seeds are losers though, get some new songs!

1. "Mr. Farmer" was a good tune.
Sounded nothing like "Pushin' Too Hard," except in that it was totally moronic.

2. Skye Saxon is fuckin' nuts too.
A few years ago I saw him play outside of Madison for this show that was part of a garage rock documentary. It was the Seeds and then some bands from around the state. Saxon was weird--telling one band their name was evil, drawing some goofy treasure map on a place mat to show how they could stop being evil, and then--it was a few years ago remember--the "evil" band was covering the White Stripes "Astro," and Saxon got up onstage and started singing "Satisfaction" (as in, "I don't get no...").

It was a lot of fun though.

4. Sky Saxon lived in Seattle for a while in the '90s
He lived not far from us. He was basically a total acid casualty and was often seen mumbling at the QFC at Broadway and Pike. Sad.

I love the Seeds. They're fuckin' great in that hippie funeral scene in "Psych-Out."

5. yeah, the Seeds, man...
"I Can't Seem To Make You Mine" was another single, and it manages to sound a little different...the keyboard player only knew one solo, however...you can hear it on just about every song...

6. That's a hoot. In 66 I lived in Hollywood. One of the guys I hung with
was Rodney Bingenhimer. One afternoon we got totally fucked up and went over to Sky's apartment. Sky wasn't home so we let ourselves in. We located his stash and got even more fucked up. While exploring his pad, we found a shoe box full of nude and partially nude photos of Sky, which we immediately liberated. Over the following weeks we made a reasonable income selling them to the teenyboppers on the strip and at the Hullabaloo. It was a shitty thing to do but makes for a good story.
