Rant: the failure of birders to report sightings in a timely manner |
|
Is it too damn much to call in or post your good bird sightings within a day of seeing the bird? Even two days would be good. Don't wait until a week later!!!
Furthermore, why is the bird box/listserv coverage of California so terrible??? This is the 21st century, people! If there's a good bird in say, Alpine county, it should be publicized!
Why are the juicy sightings different on every single bird report source on the 'net, and different still if you actually phone the bird box number for a specific locality?
What the hell!?!?!?!?!
PS If anyone knows where I can get Ancient Murrelet, I'd be much obliged. Thanks.

in Arkansas.
Then again, maybe not.

I saw some sort of an owl last night... It was very frustrated at not being able to be where I was standing.
