Who here isn't a Liberal?
Seriously, I don't consider myself a "Liberal" I just happen to agree with a lot of policies and what not that liberals do.

3. I always say I'm a Liberal - although I really believe in people treating
one another and this planet with respect. Don't know really what category I am in - I know I'm nothing like the people who are in the White House right now. Truth, fairness, integrity, justice, kindness, empathy for others..... What is that really? Just the right way to behave, I think.

Guess you could put me in the 'Pollyanna' category.

4. By some definitions I am, by others i'm not
I think I probably trend more to being a libertarian than I do a pure liberal. What does liberal mean anyway? I think most of us are probably more moderate liberals than we think....more socially liberal and less economically liberal than we think we are.

On most social issues I tend to tow the liberal line, but I don't know about the economic one. It's sort of become I think that the liberal side is one that is practically conservative, but more of a responsible conservative. Low taxes, compared to anything in other 'liberal' democracies. Generally keeping the government out of things. More about the free market, but a responsible free market. A free market that can see 100 years into the future and not abuse us or our planet...

That's not really all that 'liberal'.

Meanwhile the 'conservative' side has gotten downright strange. Sometimes scarily crazy far conservative, and sometimes practically Stalinesque.

So who knows about these labels anymore. What does it even mean to be a liberal? My in-laws would label me a liberal in an instant, but I know other people who would label be conservative. It's all a matter of perspective I guess.

8. The word Liberal needs to be reclaimed
Calling ourselves Progressives is like hiding our heads in shame.
