Do You Know Any Fake Celebrities? (Ordinary People Who Have Famous Names?)
When I was a kid, I used to live next door to Carol Burnett... and I'd sometimes mow her lawn.

My mother is friends with Marion Barry... but this Marion Barry is a white woman, not easily confused with the former DC mayor.

but so did her first boyfriend after me. So if your Mary had this experience, we have a match!

72. Nope - I know it's not my Mary - unless you grew up in Oakland CA.
However, the first boy I ever kissed came out after High School and is now an editor/owner of the SF Sentinel.
Small world, eh?

20. Barbra Bush lived down the street from my grandparents
When I was little, I was rather confused about this. I had found out that then vice president Bush's wife was Barbra Bush. At that age, I didn't think that it would be that strange that she wasn't in Washington. What I was confused about is that might grandparents hated the man who I thought was her husband but they were always nice to her.

69. Oh yeah? Well I went to college with Elizabeth Taylor, so there!
My Elizabeth Taylor was a heck of a lot cooler than that English starlet, too, let me tell you! In fact, meeting her was my first clue that New Orleanians were significantly cooler than the national average. Is that where you lived next door to her, by any chance?

I've been having a heck of a time trying to locate her since last August! For some reason, searching for "elizabeth taylor" yields reams and reams of stuff about that starlet. She must have some kind of a cult following or something. :-) Even "elizabeth taylor" "new orleans" turns up mostly the starlet's role in something called "Suddenly Last Summer", whatever that was...

I was on the drumline with a Michael Moore back in high school. This MM was a skinny little blond dude who loved Shrub and would never shut up. I'm pretty sure sharing his name with the Michael Moore annoyed him quite a bit, but I never asked him.

I also went to school with a Katie Holmes, a Natalie Wood, and a John Kennedy. And when I canvassed in Wisconsin I went to "Bob Novak"'s house!
