Poll question: POLL: Daily Show or Colbert Report? |
|
The subject heading says it all. You have to pick one or the other. In other words, if you had to watch only one of the programs, which one would it be?

1. Luckily, I don't have to pick. |
|
I picked The Daily Show, though, as a long-running favorite, even though Colbert has been funnier in recent weeks.
I wouldn't argue with anyone for picking otherwise. They're both great shows, and godsends in *'s Amerika.

2. If I'm forced to choose the Daily Show it is |
|
but it isn't an easy pick.
Seems lately though that even Mr Colert is having a hard time surpressing his own laughter. :) He's probably feeling pretty good about life these days.

5. I've been wondering whether Colbert's been delibertely trying... |
|
to show that side of himself. I liked the show almost from the beginning, but I like it even more now when he gives us that knowing smile in reference to some of the things that he says. I suspect that this change is in response to some people finding him too irritating because he did such a wonderful job of imitating O'Reilly. Regardless of the reason, I'm enjoying it more with him occasionally breaking character to smile or to let his eyes sparkle.

9. it cracks me up when he laughs so hard that he drops out of character |
|
For example, when he was interviewing that poker champ, and she teased him about playing Dungeons and Dragons.

6. No one watches Colbert for news. |
|
At this point, Colbert is funnier. Jason Jones is annoying as hell on the Daily Show and he's getting a lot of air time.
However, Jon Stewart makes the Daily Show into more than fake news. I think it means more than Colbert, even if Colbert is more entertaining right now.

7. Opening monologue of The Daily Show |
|
Honestly, that's the best thing out of the whole hour. The rest of it… eh.

8. Both great.....Daily Show because it's the original. |
|
However, Colbert's really been hilarious. Especially "The Word" and "Threatdown."
