11. Me too. PBS used to repeat episodes the day before the next one
would air, so you could catch up, but they don;t seem to do that anymore..

It will repeat eventually and maybe I;ll catch it then

12. I am glad I am not the only one....Bleak House seemed
much harder to ease into if you had missed an episode...

I missed some of the Forsythe saga but was able to still piece together the bits and pieces...

3. I missed the first 20 minutes and literally could NOT catch up.
I even went out immediately to the PBS site and read the synopsis and I still couldn't sort it out.

I am a Masterpiece Theatre junkie, but this one just didn't catch me.

I wish they would air the updated The Forsyte Saga. That was a true masterpiece.

4. I watched it, but the last episode airs on Sunday here.
It's so tragic and depressing. I liked it, but thought it dragged in places.

7. I love it when he says that!!
I don't know who this actor is, but he plays his part to perfection! Have you read the book, and does this character say, 'Shake me up, Judy' in it?

So please don't give anything away! I haven't read the novel, obviously, and have resisted the temptation to read ahead in PBS's episode synopsis.

Look if you dare!

By the way, Charles Dance, who of course played the sympathetic Guy Perrin in The Jewel in the Crown, has a field day as Tulkinghorn. He does such wonderful things with his voice. What contempt he conveys! I read that Dance thought Tulkinghorn was totally devoid of redeeming traits.

And I didn't recognize Phil Davis, who played the tender-hearted husband in Vera Drake, as the vicious Smallweed. "Shake me up, Judy!"

On edit: There was at least one other Bleak House thread in the Lounge, but it only ran for a short while. I may have even been the last person to post there.

10. I've been taping it
but not watching.

I'll wait until the series is over, then watch it over the course of a couple of days.

Extremely well done! :applause: :applause:

That's how you do Dickens! :D

"Judy, shake me up!" :D

And boy, did Jillian Andersen do a complete 180 on her usually acting style.
