I am close to putting in my order for a B/S RNP 36" 6-burner range. With the 22,000 BTU burners of the B/S, I still have some HVAC engineering issues
vis-a-vis the Vent-a-Hood ventilation system. I figure I need a minimum of 1100 CFM hood exhaust capability for a 36" range (3.25' X 2.25' hood capture area X 150 - std formula for burners only and island configuration - yields 1096 CFM). I'll need a 10" discharge duct. The big deal is engineering an air source. A 1200 CFM demand will suck air down my chimneys, etc.!
Also, BlueStar now has a home gas
salamander unit (broiler/cheese melter). Anybody got that yet? Shall I be the test pilot? This is, to my knowledge, the
first serious home salamander on the market.
