Well, I'm Back From Canada
Good biz trip. People there were great. I spent almost 15 hours a day at the site, so i didn't interact much with the folks in town, but it was ok. Flights were good and on time in both directions, so how cool is that?

But, one thing i learned: In Ontario, just a little north of Toronto, folks are pretty casual about the snow. It snowed 4 times when i was there, for a total of maybe 6 inches, perhaps a little more.

Anyway here's the conclusion i've come to: Here in the Chicago area, if the towns and counties ran snow removal on the schedule they do in Ontario, there wouldn't be one mayor or country board member that would last past the end of their current term. Everyone of them would be voted out at the very next opportunity by outraged citizens. Geez, Chicago dumped a mayor over a bad response to a snowstorm. It would be a region-wide thing, around here.

4. I Used A Passport
I have one, so it was more convenient. But, i saw people doing the birth doc and driver's lic. thing. In fact, one guy only showed a driver's license. So, it appears to be no big thing. But, since i have the little blue book, i used it.

7. Two Things On That
First, i really like Subway. Also, when traveling alone, i have to eat alone. If i'm going to eat alone, i'd prefer to BE alone. So, i go Subway, or Boston Market or Chinese and take it back to my room with a few beers and eat by myself.

Secondly, i was in the plant 15 hours a day, so i could get everything done in 3 days and get my butt back home. I won't have to go back there for months now!

So it was more efficient to keep the meals boring and the same.

See, there's method to my madness.
