I had a friend of Irish descent who told me a story about fighting Irish/Scot clans (tribes?) way back when.

The Scots had the upper hand in the fight, in that at the start of the battle, they came running down from the hills, buck naked, (totally nude), long red hair blazing, screaming at the top of their lungs.

Seeing this, the opposing side just gave up and ran away, because obviously they were dealing with a bunch of wild men. Psych warfare.

I think curling is a sport that started in Scotland. And the team defeated by the Minnesota boys today was technically mostly Scottish, not British.
