My cat eats rice.. what does yours eat?
Osiris is sitting here eating my left over rice that I made today with chicken broth. I caught my new cat eating my daughters spaghetti that she put in the sink. Quite hilarious seeing a cat walk around with spaghetti hanging out of its mouth.

Any other weird food eating cats out there?

11. tomatoes. The late great Atlas would steal them fromthe garden
I thought the rabbits were biting those big chunks out of the tomatoes, and it was the cat all the time.

He would drink V8 or tomato juice any time I put it out for him.

I also had a cat that would beg for asparagus and she also liked salad and would like the sauce off of a sliceof pizza

35. Mine too!
Albeit, she eats them in the form of salsa! I caught her on the table, licking the salsa off my omelette one time. Immediately took it away from her--she doesn't have to clean her litter box!!!

I also once caught her licking the spoon I used to stir hot cocoa!!! Damn cat loves chocolate--but of course she's never allowed to have it!!!

18. My mother had a Siamese who ate corn. On the cob. No butter.
But since she didn't have proper teeth for corn on the cob, she left a great half chomped mess.
She also liked asparagus.

26. I completely forgot about Scamp and her devotion to corn on the cob
we would give her the cobs after we ate the corn..she would enjoy them thoroughly...then we noticed they would go missing from the dish we put them in..well, we moved our sofa to (of course) look for the remote and there was a stash of little dried up corn coblets behind the sofa. She was stealing them and hoarding them all over the place. We found them in some amusing spots ...

I have had several cats who loved corn on the cob and all of them were tuxedo cats.

24. asparagus
potato skins. Green beens. Spaghetti. Which probably wouldn't be all that odd, except if there's asparagus and steak and shrimp on a plate, she'll go for the asparagus every time. Any vegetable, really.

And for dessert, she's fond of peppermint and baby's breath.

Not necessarily in that order.

Cats HAVE to have plenty of protein or they die. I'm sure you're a great cat owner, I just always have to check. :hi:

29. Olives, spaghetti, strawberries, grapes, bread...
Edited on Sat Feb-25-06 10:34 AM by grace0418
He goes CRAZY for olives (just like me!). Sometimes I buy the bulk olives from Whole Foods for a treat (for me), and some of the varieties are big enough that I can hold the pit in my fingers while he gnaws on the other end.

We can't leave any bread-like product on the counter, he'll tear into the bag to get at it. Cheeky monkey!

32. Suki is skinny as all get out and she eats just about
anything that we cook for dinner. She'll eat pizza, pepperoni, chicken (even jerk chicken), hamburger. But her most favorite thing to eat is shrimp! She's got expensive taste, too. It has to be the shrimp we get from Costco. If we just get cheaper, supermarket pre-wrapped shrimp, she won't eat it.

Neither of which are good for her. She also likes iced tea and very strong coffee.

I think the vodka bothers me most - I keep telling her she's too young to drink, but does she pay any attention? No.
