I met the most erudite panhandler today |

Swear to GOD... picture a panhandler saying, to you in a West London accent, "Thank you for stopping to listen to me sir. At the risk of sounding forthright, I'm soliciting donations to stay at a hostel this evening. Can you spare any change?"
Swear to god... it was fucked up.

I'm asking because the one time, the ONE time, I gave money to someone (I'm not talking about a few coins), it turned out to be a scam. Dude had an English accent, and how I found out that he was a scammer was an article I read in the paper about others he had scammed. Boy, did I feel stupid! I went back to giving money and goods to charities after that.

6. Hmmm, makes me wonder if it's the same guy. |

Of course, there are tons of panhandlers out there, and some of them are bound to have English accents, but it's strangely similar to the dude I encountered.
