In 'The Remains of the Day': Ivory stereotyping Norwegians?
James Ivory has directed more than a few films,
and I never noticed any bias in most of them.

But that scene where Anthony Hopkins starts ranting
about the "pale, reindeer-loving lutefisk-munchers"
was totally unnecessary and very offensive, IMHO.
And that crap was NOT in the book at all!

So, what gives?
Is my thread title just a LOOONG way
to go for a Lounge copycat thread?
