Do you know any "Stinky" people? Not homeless folks that dont have access |
|
showers/bathrooms, but people that choose to not bathe and stink?
I have a friend of mine from work who owns his own home and makes good money but only showers once a weeks. This guy is also a garlic addict. Eats roasted garlic with every meal, attends the Gilroy garlic festival every year, so the smell comes out of his pores and breath.
I cant for the life of me figure out why some people choose NOT to bathe. I couldnt be that way.

Thanks to a pre-arranged seating chart, I spent a semester in college next to a stinky, garlicky, gassy person that also never wore socks. Therefore, adding the additional fragrance of sweaty feet.

2. The guy I mentioned was paired up with me to work in a confined space.. |
|
aboard a ship. He also have an afro-like doo that is flecked with dandruff. So there I am in this confined space with little ventilation, this dude is stinking from BO, halitosis and garlic, tight up against my body, holding up wire racks to fitted on the hull, when this dude tells me "Ah shit. I had mexican food last night and I'm farting big-time". AAARRGGGHHH!!! Help Mr. Wizard! That is what hell is really like.

The stinky classmate next to me would say stuff like that too. I think it was a way to recognize the smell with humor. I was polite. However, it was very unpleasant for me and there's no reason for it. There are pills to deal with stink and gas.

4. Knew a guy like that in 8th grade.... |
|
He was not a socially adept guy to start with, but he also smelled *terrible*. Being 8th graders, we gave him soap and deodorant for Christmas. Pretty evil.
I'll admit to skipping a day or two between showers, but not if I've been working or gotten sweaty, unless I'm camping.

8. In ninth grade, in my last class of the day, I sat between the grossest |
|
guy at the school and the wall. He wore the same sweatsuit every day, never bathed as far as I could tell, and used to drool onto his desk during class.
It was so disgusting that as soon as class was over I would hurry home, take a long shower, brush my teeth, and change into fresh clothes.

that always smells weird, but I don't think it's from lack of showering but it's still pretty bad.

One I can smell across the room many days. The other I have to get a little closer to smell, but they both smell bad and this is at the beginning of the day. At college, one of the students from Russia also smelled bad from a distance away. People who knew him tried to excuse it, saying he was from a cold poor area of Russia where he didn't have hot water so he wasn't used to showering often. I asked another student from Russia about this and she said that his excuse was bogus and even if it was not that he could learn to shower at least a couple days per week and he could definitely learn to wash his clothes, which was evidently part of the problem. One of the professors from Greece also smelled, but I ever had a class from him. I just heard stories. When I was in late elementary school and junior high, some kids smelled, but by high school they seemed to have figured out proper hygeine.

9. Yes, this girl I work with doesn't wear deodorant |
|
Edited on Sun Feb-26-06 09:41 PM by WildEyedLiberal
I think she showers maybe once a week - her hair gets progressively oilier until eventually it looks decent again, and I know she must have showered. She also doesn't shave, which is pretty disconcerting. It's the lack of deodorant that bothers me, though. I guess if you want to be au naturale, go for it, but PLEASE perform basic hygiene so you don't emit an unplesant odor.
