Edited on Sun Feb-26-06 09:00 PM by CarolinaPeridot
Seriously I have never felt normal since I was about 4 years old . I just sit and do normal things now and I feel so calm . My thoughts are clearer - I took my guitar out and just started playing with it , I have'nt touched my guitar since I got it for Christmas . Normally I would sit along my days and worry myself to chest pains - this weekend , I just remained calm and breathed . I should have went to the doctors years ago .

My only wonder now ? WTF is up with NBC's Coverage of the Closing Ceremonies . Argh .

3. Did you go on an SSRI drug?
I recently did. Its amazing. No more anger, angst, starting seeing how much of my life was controlled by anxiety. All gone.

7. Yes I went on Paxil CR last Wednesday ...
and I feel " calm " - its hard to explain . My life was being controlled my anxiety and it affected my personal life - and I could not go on living that way .

9. I know how you feel, its amazing.
I didn't even know how much it affected my life until it went away. It was anxiety for me. I am taking lexapro. One month now.

I was worried it would change parts of my I like, but no, nothing good has changed, only the bad. Send me an email if you'd like to talk.

4. Awesome
I don't know what changed for you (the doctor implies meds, maybe?) but I'm so glad you've found that relief. That's great, dude!

11. I don't take any Rx at all. But when you have anxiety...
I think meds are the right choice.

17. That was my experience, also. I tried to handle it myself for years
thinking that I could do it. I finally got to the point where I could barely get through a day. Seeing a doctor and a therapist was my first smart move...starting on meds was my second.

I honestly don't know what would have happened to me had I not gone for help.
