CONFESS!!!! If Salary was NOT an issue - what job would you want
Me? I'd want to work in either a used bookstore or used record shop since the two things I love the most are reading books and listening to great music. Of course in my store all the Ann Coulter and Toby Keith would be found in the bins next to the dumpster out back!

42. This use to be my job
I did this kind of work for 2 years, you don't have a boss breathing down your neck for 8 hours a day like a regular job because your out in a van driving around. You rarely meet anyone who is negative towards you and it's not the same pattern every single day that becomes boring. If your a single guy you really meet a lot of single woman doing a job like this, it's like the flowers just attract them to you. The plus for me was the owners of the shop I worked for treat their employees like family, so when I was around a boss I wasn't ever treated like I was below them like, a lot of business owners due to their employees. The only down fall of the job was delivering in a busy area of town like during morning or afternoon rush hour and having to deal with the usual bad drivers.

7. Actually, I
love what I do, so apparently money is not the issue. That said, if I wouldn't be working here, I'd like to work in a museum, and most likely doing the same thing that I'm doing here!

19. I had a tutor for calc.
One of my college drinking buddies was a math major. We had an even exchange-he'd help me w/ calc and physics, I'd help him w/ our history class(early nineties-a class called "From Communism to Socialism in the Eastern Bloc") and poli sci.

It was a great exchange-we both got A's in our respective classes. It just sucked that I had to have the calculus to even get into an astronomy class!

although originally I was biochemistry but that required 3 semesters of calculus.

Ironically my SAT scores and all my math tests I scored extremely well, but as soon as I got near calculus I just sucked.

22. My ACTs were very high in
English/comp/reading comprehension(I've forgotten what they actually called the subsections-it's been too many years).

I was a history major w/ a minor in economics. It never did me any good since I'm working in dead-end jobs now!

I should have picked another field. Nursing would have been nice.

Can't even volunteer anymore because I travel too much for work.

There is NOTHING that puts traffic, chores, and the other frustrations of daily life into perspective like visiting with a hospice patient. Of course, it's the hospice nurses and home health aides who make a real difference -- some of the best human beings I've met.

51. Bassist in a rock band
Which is what I do in my non-working hours. (BTW, none of you came to our gig on Saturday, which may have been our best gig ever.)

Or editor of a rock zine, which is what I did when I didn't have a legitimate day job. I'd still do that if it paid (especially if it paid the publisher, who shelved it after five years because it was chronically *losing* money).

Some day I'll write a book, and nobody will buy it. (Probably nobody will publish it.)
