very compelling. Spike Lee executive produced it, after seeing it at Sundance. Made me very uncomfortable, my stomach was literally upset while watching it. this link contains a review with lots of spoilers, clickers beware.

Saying I liked it isn't correct, really, 'liked' isn't the right word, but I recommend it.

Willmott isn't interested in academic niceties. He wants to make you laugh and hurt at the same time, and then he wants you to think. So his film -- ostensibly a British documentary being aired on a local San Francisco station -- opens with an ad for Confederate Family Insurance, complete with a happy white family, soothing banjo music, and a smiling young African-American slave tending the garden. What follows is nothing less than a satiric takedown of our assumptions about racial progress.

1. Looks excellent
Spike Lee has been behind some very honest looks at Racism, the best being "Bamboozled" - a movie which didn't get the credit it deserved.

2. I hope more people get to see it, only released in 19 cities.
I did think about stupid white supremists watching it and being wistful, the assholes. It was really hard to watch. My white guilt really went haywire.

4. Here's the website (with timeline)
http://www.csathemovie.com/

Interesting, it's the Newfoundland Missle Crisis that happens in '62 instead of Cuban.

6. One thing about that timeline
Custer would not have served in the Confederate Army, he would have been tried as a war criminal. He had hung a number of Col Mosby's(the Gray Ghost)men in Front Royal, Virginia. Perhaps Joe Wheeler.
