1. the Orca
although people don't associate the Orca with Washington as much as say, the Salmon, it's a cooler symbol. Plus, I have one on my office wall.

4. I never realized how ubiquitous Salish art was in the NW
Until I moved away. This style of art, more than ANYTHING, symbolizes Washington (and Oregon and BC) to me.

I got up in British Columbia on a reservation and I'm such an idiot I am spacing on the name of the tribe. :P
