that goes into businesses that are tanking, figures out why and tries to get them back on their feet.

It's called "Failure Analysis," and the big sign that says so is quite visible from U.S. 101.

22. Language barrier created a funny sign for a few weeks
these guys rented a closed down grocery store and use the parking lot for car washing & detailing. They put up a sign that said "Car Washing" on the top line and "Hand Job" on the second line.. :)

I kid you not! It's a store in Chattanooga, TN (well, at least last time I was there), right next to the ridge cut tunnels on the downtown side. It's been there forever, so far as I know. I can only imagine that Stubb is a family name..?

when i lived in MN i worked for a shop that made parts for the Schwing trucks.

the name is quite applicable to their product, cement pumping trucks that have an articulated boom that can reach hundreds of feet...schwing indeed!

IIRC they were the US offshoot of a German company.

Spotted Krap Towing this weekend, and happened to have a camera handy... photographed BOTH sides just to ensure that it actually said KRAP


Butt Construction had large trailers with their name prominently painted on the side in my neighborhood for a while.

Try-n-Buy Auto Sales is one of these cheesey used car outfits that challenges you to be their customer...

it was like a chocolate bar. i have no idea how it worked, but there were commercials for it all the time. after AIDS came out, i think the company went out of business.
