I've been working that for about a month and a half now.
It sucks.

9. I'm on for 12, too! 7P-7A |

I run a cogeneration plant (electrical power & steam) for a paper mill. I love night shifts, can't stand the day rotation.

I'm so sorry! I do hope that you will find that it's better than you think it will be....
And I hope that you'll get more money since so many folks won't or can't work nights!
I'm curious as to what sort of work you do?

6. I don't think it will be too bad |
|
If I can learn to sleep in the day time I'll be ok. I'm a computer operator for a trust company. It might actually be a plus. Less management to hassle with. :pals:

7. I worked nights for many years, and I mostly loved it....... |
|
I was a night nurse...
And I had no problem sleeping during the day. But I had a quiet, dark room for sleeping.
I hope it works out for you!
More money hopefully.....and less management! Sounds good.....

8. It has its benefits and its drawbacks |
|
I love not having to work with a bunch of annoying people for most of the time, and how quiet things are during the night. Night shift, at least for my two jobs, is easier than other shifts.
Sleeping days is hard though and is getting harder. I now have to take medication just to be able to sleep during the day, and sometimes even with that my sleep quality is sub-par. I'm also finding that even if I sleep well during the day I still feel tired at night. Circadian rhythms apparently don't change no matter how bad we might want them to.

10. I like nights better than days |
|
I do rotating 12s. But once a month I get 7 days off in a row. Good luck in adjusting, you'll be OK :)
