Ok, I really do generally like kids, but dammit...
...why are there two chatty, whiny kids under the age of 8 in my coworker's cubicle with him??? And if he really has no other options today and HAD to bring them in, couldn't he at LEAST try to make sure they weren't so bored that they felt the need to WHINE constantly?

:grr:

4. Gameboy Micro has been a godsend for me during my recent
frequent hospitalizations.

Not the healthiest pastime for my 9 year old, but it kept him from going nuts.

7. I adore kids
but offices are not appropriate for them.

Any chance he just has to keep them for part of the day?

11. oh man my stepson is like that..
when hes here thats all he does - he doesnt shut up at ALL. He will interrupt anyone that is talking with his DAD, will correct adults, if someone has indigestion and burps he will go EXCUSE YOU, etc. Drives me nuts but what can I say?

12. We used to have an assistant manager who brought her kids in
She was a young single mother and there was an overlap between the time she came to work and the time the kids went to school - they were 6 and 8, I think.

Anyway, I have a lot of compassion for that BUT she didn't supervise them, instead letting them run around the store and leaving it to the employees to do so. The kids got into things, messed up people's paperwork, asked for money for the vending machines from us and were generally.... well, kids. But not OUR kids and we were trying to work. So I feel your pain.

Yeah, the Nyquil idea has merit.
