WASHINGTON -- Jason Reitman isn't mad at the projectionist he said accidentally eliminated Katie Holmes' sex scene from a screening of "Thank You For Smoking."
In fact, he joked that he deserves a raise.
Reitman said the mysterious disappearance during the Sundance Film Festival has been great publicity for the movie. He also understands why some people prefer to think Tom Cruise ordered him to cut the scene. Reitman said the problem with the term "projection error is that it's the truth but it sounds like a lie."
He said it's like "wardrobe malfunction." The movie, sex scene and all, opens March 17.
Meanwhile, eight years after Katie Holmes was accepted by Columbia University, her dad wants his $500 deposit back.
Holmes was accepted to the school in 1998 when "Dawson's Creek" premiered. She never made it.
Now, TMZ.com reported that her father has written to the university asking for his non-refundable deposit back. A Columbia official told TMZ, "What does he not understand about the word ‘non-refundable?"'
