What are you grateful for today?
I've got three things that spring to mind:

1. I am just so glad arwalden has come back to DU.
2. I'm meeting two of my favorite people in the world for happy hour drinks and conversation today.
3. this little boy right here:

1. Well I WAS feeling grateful
For being one of your favorite people in the world. But, since I'm not invited for drinks, I guess I'm not...

Hee, hee...just teasing. Everytime I look at the three little faces I have in my life, I'm grateful. And I'm grateful that it's less than an hour to quitting time...

18. Will it be like my former book club?
Edited on Tue Feb-28-06 04:20 PM by 1gobluedem
After we finished reading we'd bake with the EZ Bake Oven, do art projects, or play Twister. I assume all book clubs like this? And I can supply the EZ Bake Oven, the art supplies, and the Twister game...:-)

12. where do you live?
I used to live in the southern part of Holland...it was INSANE there. All the bars would board up their windows and remove all the chairs and tables. It was just one HUGE party for days.

24. I can walk today.
I can walk today unaided which is rare given that it's so damp and my legs usually require at least a cane to balance with. I am grateful for my friends on DU which have helped me through some dark periods which normally result in mind numbing depression. I am grateful that walk the line is out on DVD today.

28. I am grateful for many things... but just at this moment?
1) OK, this might seem like kissing up... but... DU. For providing an opportunity to meet so many fascinating and wonderful people. Some who have become dear friends. Without it, I'd never have met any of them.

2) Always and forever, all the loving people in my life. I often think I don't deserve the love and care they shower on me. But I also think about all the people who have so little love in their lives and wonder how they survive.... and count myself among the luckiest of men.

3) Hitachi. The Magic Wand. Masturbation has never been so much fun! I advise everyone to get one. Now! (Yeah, who didn't see that coming?)

Khash, deleted again.

35. A loving family which is not particularly dysfunctional,
  • Rewarding jobs, even if they vex me from time to time,
  • The opportunity to have travelled and seen much of the world,
  • A fuzzy little brown cat who is possibly the best all-around kitty in the whole world,
  • The skills and talents I have acquired or been gifted with,
  • Being intelligent,
  • A man whose eyes are the colour of stones under water.

37. I'm grateful for
the family I have and the opportunities within it.

The friends, near and far, who just are, no matter of how many times you see them or not.

The paths we still walk and the paths that still lay ahead of us to be walked on. (Yes, the bridges are counted in.)

I just gave Patsy (the one on the left) a couple of raisins and she chewed on them for 20 minutes. I don't know if that meant she liked them or she thought it was gum and was trying to blow bubbles.
