I. Hate. My. Bus driver. **RANT**

Okay, so I was getting off the bus today...

I picked up my purse, put my backpack on, and hoisted my alto sax case over my shoulder. It's all good. I walk up the aisle.

Some highschooler jerk is just sitting there, with his knee half out in the aisle. I think he'll move it, and I think I can get past, so I say 'excuse me' and walk on by. I bump into him. He goes, and I quote: "Geeze, you fat whale!"

I know I'm not the slimmest thing in the world, but I'm not that fat. The few of you who've seen me know that. I turn around and say "Well, if you don't wanna get hit, then move!"

The bus driver does nothing.

So... two things here:

1. He was clearly violating a bus rule. Keep your body out of the aisle. No one was sitting next to him. The only thing he had was a binder. She never told him to keep the aisle clear.

2. He insulted me and she heard it. I was two seats away from her, and she wasn't talking or anything. She was looking at me the whole time. Now, I can understand one insult... but two? Yes, he said "God, she's such cow!" when I got off the bus.

If you're NOT GOING TO DO YOUR JOB, LADY, THEN YOU SHOULDN'T GET PAID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was about to beat that guy with my sax. C'mon, one kid got in trouble because he lost his binder and tried to get it. He had to reach under a seat. So, that kid can reach under a seat, not get hurt, and get a write up while another kid can sit half in the aisle and call someone a fat cow? Gee, thanks.

Teenagers (especially HSers) can be real fuckups. So can bus drivers, for that matter. That was completely unprofessional and goes a long way towards explaining how beatings/assaults can take place so easily on school buses. I hope things go better for you. :hi:

in school that was called a "fag" by another guy. i defended him to the jerk with a simple response, "you wish." may sound child-like and immature but you have to be when dealing with these people. it worked btw, the guy left him alone.

they are, for the most part...dicks/the female version of "dick" that I don't want to say for fear of sounding sexist/repetitive. As are high schoolers...(I can say that now! :bounce: Yeah, eat that. high school!), but don't let it get you down.

The kid for not moving, and for the mean and nasty things he said to you (and having seen you, you are NOT fat!!!).

I mean, someone who can speak with the bus driver? Even if they don't do anything, you'd at least have the satisfaction of saying your piece.

I'm really impressed with your attitude. I totally absorbed all insults that were hurled in my direction when I was a teen. Since I had a zero self-confidence factor, I was a popular person to pick at.

10. Damn it! That is harassment

you need to report this cretin and get his ass removed from the bus.

He is making comments about your BODY.

I hate that. I have a second grader who had the best comeback I have ever heard. A junior cretin said to her, "You're FAT!" And she looked at him and said, "And?"

He shut up real quick.

But this guy needs a bus referral and you need to complain about the driver. Don't take it! If he thinks you are a fat cow, let him realize you are a fat cow not to mess with. (And I know you aren't fat)

You might want to talk with your parents on this one. They need to call the school. We don't have kids in the school system, but are there not rules now preventing this kind of stuff -- namecalling and bullying of other students?

MMR, good for you that you are so assertive at such a young age. He is the one with the problem, not you. You just keep being your beautiful, intelligent, talented self. Ignore him.

For safety reasons, people should remain in their seats and not have body parts stick out into the aisle.

that is the kind of kid I was in school...

If that didn't work I would have taken my shoe off and clocked him one...I almost got detention for that once...
