I got a job!

I'm meeting with the temp agency guy on Monday to fill out final paperwork. The original person they picked couldn't pass the background check, and I got the call Monday to go to a website and fill out info so they could make sure that I wasn't an axe murderer or anything. He called me today and set up a meeting for the final paperwork.

So, I guess it IS possible to get a job in this economy...It only took me nine months.

Things were getting desperate around here...the unemployment ran out, and there was no possibility of extended benefits...the food stamps went down a few months ago...My food stamps now run short...two weeks out of the month have been spent scraping for food. We managed to pay the rent, but I'm down to my last ten bucks. This is such a relief!!

After the interview a couple of weeks ago, I felt good, I thought it went well. I was really crestfallen when the agency called and said they chose someone else. All week long, I've been waiting for the call that they were finished with my background check and I could go to work...and today the call came. I feel like a giant weight has lifted...I'm going to make money again!!!!!
