Katie to be silent with iPod

TOM Cruise has given Katie Holmes an iPod with calming tunes to help her stay silent during childbirth.

The gift came after The Sun revealed the couple had put up 6ft posters in their Beverly Hills mansion reminding her not to make a noise and keep her movements slow. A source close to them said: “Tom gave Katie an iPod loaded with 300 of her favourite songs.

“He wants her to listen to calming music — but to use earphones so there’s no noise in the delivery room.”

Tom, 43, and Katie, 26, follow the Scientology cult which claims it is traumatic for babies to hear their mother scream during childbirth. Mums are also banned from taking painkillers.

1. You guys know she's going to murder Tom
in a very graphic and sadistic manner. Within a year or two I'd say. Just wait until he tries to raise a child with that Scientology garbage.

2. Calming music?
With pain like that, you want the heaviest, most aggressive shit you can find.

4. Actually, no...
I wouldn't have wanted heavy, aggressive music. (Some people might; I wouldn't have.)

I liked watching television. Laverne & Shirley with the first, The Price Is Right with the second, and Scooby Doo with the third. :D

5. 300 songs? Is he expecting a long labor?
At 3 minutes a song, that comes to about 15 hours of music.

9. 15 hours is nothing.
I had two days.

It's best to be prepared. It could be five hours or a couple of days.

10. Regardless of the no noise clauses, track #6 alone is grounds for murder

12. Do they think it's that quiet inside the body?
I would think it's fairly noisy with the heart pumping, food digesting etc.

14. Judging by that picture of Katie, the child is going to have an ENORMOUS
set of choppers. It stands no chance of having a normal size mouth. Of course, with Tom Cruise as a father, that's the LEAST of the poor kid's troubles.

16. If I had told my wife she needed to shut up during pregnancy...
We'd be adopting all of our children from here on out.

I wonder how enamored Katie is about this little "policy" of theirs.
