I'm about to ask a girl out over the internet. Is that wrong? |
|
Is that tacky? We've met before, and I think we hit it off pretty well, but we only see each other once a week at debate practice. She didn't come last week, and I didn't see her today because she came after I left. We've been talking back and forth about how we never see each other, and I'd say that in itself has been going well enough.
Is it just bad form to send a reply that says "hey, instead of talking about how we never see each other, how about we just go have coffee over the weekend?", or is that something one should only do in person?

3. Yeah, I'm kinda out of it. |
|
Which is bad 'cause I'm supposedly part of generation D or something. I read some creepy article about how my generation (I'm 19) is going to be the last living generation with memory of pre-digital technology like the VCR. It's like... where have the old days gone? My kids won't even know what "be kind, rewind" means. How am I going to communicate with them? The generation gap is growing and I don't even have kids yet.

I mean, if you never get to see her and that's the reason you're asking in the first place, how are you gonna ask if you don't see her and how else are you gonna see her to ask?

4. You've met her, and see her once a week?.... |
|
...then no, it's no problem to ask her out. In my single days, I asked women out, after knowing them for 5 minutes. I'd say you know her pretty well. Don't sweat it.

Using the internet to communicate is like using the phone in the so-called good old days!
