6. This leaf blower concept...
Are the leaves just relocated? Does the relocation spot have someone with a blower to re-relocate the relocated leaves? Is this an endless cycle?

7. Leaf blowers! AAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGH!
When I lived in Portland in a cluster of high rises, the maintenance crew from a neighboring apartment seemed to use leaf blowers at least once a week, and the way that roar echoed among the concrete drove me to distraction when I was trying to work in my home office.

If there is any machine that needs to be uninvented, it's the leaf blower!

Hey, idiots standing there so smugly with your leafblowers and your headphones (yeah, you get to wear ear protection--we don't), let me tell you about the olden days when we raked leaves with ....RAKES and swept up the sidewalks with...BROOMS!

:grr:

9. I think there's one of these guys in every neighborhood
I used to live next to this guy, who incidentally was the head of the Neighborhood Council for the part of town I was in at that point, and an asshole blowhard Republican to boot, and he would be up almost every Saturday in the Spring and Fall with his damn leaf blower at like 7:00 AM...and the best part was he would blow all the leaves and/or tree pollen and whatever else out of his yard and INTO THE NEIGHBORS' YARDS ON EITHER SIDE!!! Including all over our front walkway. I just love people.

10. Can't do that here until 8:00 weekdays, 9:00 Saturdays, and 10:00 Sundays
You can call the cops AND file a HOA complaint if they do... and it is enforced!

12. Dump trucks at 6:30 am behind my house...
...DAILY. Saturdays and Sundays included. There's two that have squeaky moving parts to them that are an absolute joy to listen to after 3 or 4 hours of sleep. I've been up since 7:00 am this morning after only 5 hours of sleep.

It's a friggin' Saturday fer crissakes! x(

13. For the next six months...
The continuous noise of lawnmowers at all hours of the day and night, incessant. The gap between one mower stopping and the next starting up will never be more than five minutes long. Lawnmowers. For six months. Make it stop.

18. Someone in your neighborhood is lookin' for an ass whoopin'.
And I'd be just the person to do it if I lived nearby.

I once opened a window and went ape-shit crazy on my next door neighbor who decided the first week of his retirement to take up the trumpet. I still don't know what that asshole was thinking by going out into his yard at 7:30AM to practice his scales on the trumpet....beginning trumpet nonetheless.

He never spoke to me again. And his dog bit my mom on the ass through the chain link fence while she was gardening. I've never hated neighbors more.
