she wants to show me her new place. I am going to take my camera with me to take pics. Then she can decide if she wants to post them.
So far it starts to smell good in the kitchen.

since she spoke so highly of her new place.
BTW, I just saw the last snippets of German News yesterday (I watch TV kind of really late and might catch only the bottom scroll news on ntv sometimes), but is the flooding new in the Southern parts?

bt at least in Dresden the water isn't rising as fast as they were afraid, but it is bad anyway. They expect the highest point tomorrow.

but I only have the recipe in the metric system
6 eggs 300 gramm sugar 100 gramm flour 400 gramm grounded (shredded?) nuts (I took hazelnuts) 1 tsp baking powder 600 gramm shredded carrots citron, vanilla, cinammon
Separate the eggs. Beat the egg white with 2/3 of the sugar to whisk stiff, whisk the egg yolks with 1/3 of the sugar Add flour, nuts and carrots with the egg yolk whisk. Taste with the aromas. Add the stiff egg white carefully
Bake it about 45minutes at 180° Celsius in a ring form
WARNING I take no responsibilities for it since it is my first try.

I'm thinking of it right now. If it smells good I'm sure it tastes good too. That's why I cook by smell and aroma as much as anything.

I like to bake cakes and cookies. It's one of my favorite things to do in the kitchen. Haven't done any pies though and getting bread to rise and come out just right is something I've not mastered yet.

36. I rather cook than bake |
|
the thing is that since I live alone a cake is too much for myself to eat. So if I bake I have to take some of it with me to work and force my co-workers to try it.

Fire up the grill and marinate some steaks. Most people around here wait 'til it gets warmer too. But not me.

bbq is on that list, but it's a ways down there in terms of fulfilling my spirit. And I'm not just talking about hedonistic pleasure either. :)
