I'm doing a national service year. Yup, 65-hour weeks for a %*&!@# volunteer gig. Yup, changing people's lives, empowering at-risk children, fighting oppression, racism, & poverty, yada, yada, yada.
Meanwhile, organic on-the-vine tomatoes have reached &5.99/lb at the co-op nearby. Please, just kill me now.
(Gee, I guess I'm feeling kind of bitter tonight. Sorry.)
