Is it possible to remove a sticker from varnished furniture?
Needn't be perfect as much as adequately...

Somebody threw out a half-decent nightstand... because there's a silver sticker on top. The rest of it is in great shape.

I could cover it with a cloth, but trying to get rid of it proper would be better.

Any ideas I could try, apart from "You'll feel better if you go on a date"? :D

Thx!

2. Use a citrus peel.
Use a piece of tape (duct works best) to pull as much of the sticker off as possible. Then take an orange peel (or whatever) and spritz the oil out of the colored side onto the sticker. Rub with white side. Repeat until the sticker's off.

3. You look at problem wrong way - it is removing the table
from the sticker.

That thinking makes the process easier, by approaching it with a Zen mind, not a Western mind that automatically assumes the sticker is in the wrong place, instead of the table and sticker BOTH being in the wrong place.

5. Hair dryer
Warm up the sticker so the glue loosens, then peel off. Goo Gone is a solid plan B.

6. Agreed. Hair Dryer to remove it, then something mild to get rid of
leftover adhesive (if you're going to use Goo Gone, use it in an inconspicuous area first to make sure it doesn't hurt the finish).
