Why does the Superbowl have to be played indoors or
the South? Why not in Greenbay, or, Buffalo? Jeez show you've got some nads, real players and fans would come out in ten below weather.
These superbowl football fans remind me of easter and christmas christians.

1. It isn't really the regular fan they're concerned about.
It's also party logistics, celebrities, and the generally rich people whom mostly attend the Super Bowl that they care about.

3. The '08 Superbowl will be played in my hometown.
Brand new stadium opening this fall in Glendale, AZ. Has a retractable roof, and a playing field that slides out of the stadium. Pretty cool.
Don't look for cold weather here! It'll probably be in the 70's at game time.

4. Its more than just the game
Part of it is the requirement that the city hosting the game must have a certain number of hotel rooms - remember that there is no "home team" for the Super Bowl, and they have to put all those people somewhere. Green Bay and Buffalo dont even come close on number of hotel rooms. A couple years ago, when Jacksonville hosted, they had to bring in cruise ships to meet the hotel room requirement.
